Post-traumatic stress disorder can be triggered by a dramatic, violent, or stressful event that can change the way we perceive and react to the world around us. Research (Clancy et al 2020) shows that patients with PTSD have brain electromagnetic activity associated with alpha dysrythmia across the visual cortex that results in hypervigilance. This can manifest with symptoms of PTSD such as flashbacks, fear, anxiety, and insomnia.
At our treatment center, we use EEG/EKG driven information to help guide us make these waves more synchronous and efficient. Call us and learn how we can help you.
