Anxiety can interfere with a person's ability to carry out normal daily activities and can be debilitating and overwhelming. Some of these symptoms can include increased heart rate or breathing, trouble concentrating, excessive worry, and sense of impending doom. Medical professions can treat anxiety with medications or a more organic approach including meditation and yoga. However in some people, their symptoms can persist despite all these treatment modalities. Typically, in EEGs, we can see disorganized frontal alpha activity (Al-Tzzi et al, 2020). It is not uncommon in these conditions for two competing alpha wave frequencies in the frontal cortex. MeRT has helped some of these people with refractory symptoms by reorganizing their brain waves which allows them to live a more anxiety-free life.
