Traumatic brain injury can be the result of repeated hits to the head or a catastrophic accident that can cause significant cognitive and physical impairments including irritability, headaches, memory loss, and depression. Some people who have suffered these brain injuries will have distinct EEG changes that show lower alpha brain waves and higher than expected theta and delta waves (Ianof et al, 2017). Following treatment, there can be a significant increase in 10Hz alpha activity and reduction in frontocentral theta activity, to help them feel more like themselves
